The New Perspex-tive

Chloe £425
Spring and Summer are seasons renowned for giving the budding fashionista a perfect platform for experimentation. After all, we'd all love to look like we've just sauntered off the catwalk, but unfortunately sometimes the weather does not want to cooperate.

Michael Kors approx. £490

So now we're in the middle of April and (showers permitting) we've had some great weather, it's time to search out those accessories that are a little bit unique. Playing around with different materials is a great way to start; never tried perspex shoes? Well now is the time to start!

Snake Perspex Court £139.95
This amazing idea originated on the catwalk for the likes of Chloe and Michael Kors, causing a bit of a sensation along the way. The versatility of perspex means that you can wear it with any outfit and it's sure to only enhance it. The nature of it means that playing with trims, texture and colour isn't too OTT for shoes that you'd feel comfortable wearing everyday.
Graphite Jewel Sandal £159.95

At Keith Scarrott's, our versions of the perspex trend are somewhat more wearable than the high-fashion versions! Classic peep-toe courts become more on trend than ever before with clear bodies and textured trims in shocking pink suede, faux-snake and black patent leather (£139.95 at www.keithscarrott.co.uk).

For a special occasion you can't get much better than the beautiful Keith Scarrott Jewel Sandals. A perennial favourite, they've been given make-over in anticipation of the new season. A low platform and pretty kitten heel really set off the invisible straps and jewel detailing.Available in Mauve, Graphite, Fuschia and Cream (£159.95).

It may be fashion but with this trend, it's all about what you can't see!
